Subject:
THE LIFE OF ISMAIL
MOHAMMAD; A KURDISH POLITICAL PRISONER IS IN DANGER
In
July of this year, in accordance to the official order by office #32 of the
supreme court of Iran, Mr. Ismail Mohammad (file # 32/102) a political Kurdish
prisoner has been sentenced to death.
Mr. Ismail Mohammad has been imprisoned for more than two years
by the Islamic government of Iran. He has been interrogated many times and has
been mentally and physically tortured many times. A court in the city of Orumie
in Iran sentenced Mr. Mohammadi to death last year. Mr. Mohammad appealed his
sentence and this time he was sentenced to death again by the Supreme Court of
Iran for supporting and
co-operating with
Komala,
which is one of the major political parties in Kurdistan.
Ismail Mohammad is 38 years old, married and he is the father of
5 children whom all are victims of inhuman actions of a government that has been
condemned by the united nation’s human rights tribunal on a number of occasions
due to their tortures and executions of prisoners. The government of Iran is
trying to create fear and terror in people of Kurdistan by executing Mr.
Mohammad. By creating fear, the government is making an attempt to suppress the
people of Kurdistan and to prevent any freedom fighting movements.
We must promptly prevent the execution of Mr. Mohammad and
prevent the government of Iran from further suppressing the people of Kurdistan
and shutting their freedom fighting voices by fear. We hereby, would like to ask
all humanitarian organizations and all advocates of human rights and freedom to
prevent the execution of Mr. Ismail Mohammad.
Respectfully Yours
Hamid Bahrami,
Komala’s representative
