Number 12 Bulletin
of Komala Party:
Protests and dissent are continuing in Saqez and
Bokan
Today the city of Saqez in protest to the
massacre of Kurdish people in recent weeks closed the shops and
bazaars. The security forces have occupied all the corners of the
city and the arrests and torturing of people are continuing. The
city of Bokan also continued the protest by closing shops and
bazaars.
In another development the regime’s court ordered
permanent closure of the Kurdish weekly magazine “Aaso” and also
ordered the closing down of the weekly “Ashtee” until further
notice.
The Islamic regime, in its latest tactic to
tarnish the images of dissenters, has sent its elements among the
protesters and instructed them to be unruly so it gives an excuse to
the regime forces to use excessive force. These elements are burning
banks and religious places to show that the issue is religious one
not a political struggle to gain freedom and democracy for Kurdish
people. This, in turn, gives the regime an excuse to suppress the
demonstration even more.
