Number 15 Bulletin
of Komala Party:
Widespread popular protests are
continuing all over Kurdistan
Mahabad: Last night
in several neighborhoods in the city protests popped up and the
regime forces including Special Forces shot bullets on the air to
disperse the protestors. In protest to this new wave of repression
today the city’s shops and bazaars are closed. The reports received
from the city indicate that the resilient people in the city are
continuing their demands to be met by the regime.
Javanroo: The
latest news from that city, which belongs to Kermashan province, is
that in order to repress the protests and demonstrations in
solidarity with people of Saqez, Shnow, and Mahabad, the regime
forces have arrested at least 50 people and martial law has been
announced for the city.
In all Kurdistan:
The latest news also indicates that the regime’s armed forces have
taken over all of the city corners in Kurdistan. Gathering of more
than two people have been prohibited and the regime is not releasing
the arrested despite widespread demands. People of Kurdistan have
kept their unity and continue their protests until their demands are
met. Solidarity with families who have lost ones in the resent wave
of repression is very high in all Kurdistan.
Abroad: Komala
organization reports that today a big demonstration was held in
front of Iran’s embassy in Canberra in protest to the recent
atrocities and waves of arrests in Kurdistan. Hundreds of asylums
and immigrants chanted slogans of condemnation in Kurdish, English,
and Persian. They also express their solidarity with people of
Kurdistan in their demands. The detailed report of this protest is
coming soon.
