Politburo of Komala bulletin:
Kurdish nation in struggle for democracy
It has
been two weeks since the start of the new wave of popular
demonstration against the repression of Islamic Republic against
residents of Kurdistan. Political dissent and the resilience of
people in Mahabad in defending their dignity and their human rights
could not be ignored by mass media anymore. Their just and
dissenting voice was heard by a huge number of people inside and
outside Kurdistan.
Demonstrations in many other Kurdish cities in solidarity with
Mahabad residents and their demands showed one more time that
Kurdistan is in the forefront of resistance against Islamic
fundamentalism. No doubt current political struggle in Kurdistan is
the beginning of a new wave of struggle for freedom and democracy in
Kurdistan and Iran. The last few days has showed that political
awareness, deep popular coherence, yearning for democracy and
justice, and courage to resist have not been eliminated by
repression and Islamic dictatorship but instead have been
strengthened. Overt struggles and demonstrations by ordinary
residents in Kurdistan showed one more time that Kurdistan is in the
front line of struggle against religious dictatorship.
Military attacks and forceful repression of the peaceful
demonstrations in Kurdistan is a prelude to the new wave of
repression and militarism in all parts of Iran. On the other hand
defending the Kurdistan political movement and their demands is
defending secularism, democracy, and civil right movement.
We
ask all the political and social activists, organizations, and
political parties in all of Iran to support the new wave of the
Kurdish struggle against the Islamic Republic. This struggle is the
fight between civility and ignorance, democracy against
dictatorship, secularism against Islamic dictatorship, and civil
rights against the Mafia of repression. Only by supporting such
struggles the congruency of all the various nationalities in Iran
will be maintained and supported.
We
are sure that the people of Kurdistan will come out successful in
this new struggle. Komala will do all it can to strengthen the
political movement and popular struggles of Kurdish people to gain
secularism and justice and believes that Kurdish struggle is
inseparable from the struggle of Iranian people for democracy. In
this circumstance we ask for widespread cooperation of all parties
and forces of Kurdistan. We do all we can to expand and extend the
struggle and we are sure that joining of all the parties and groups
resources to this struggle will be a big contributor to spread the
struggle to all over Iran and subsequentially gaining national and
international support.
We
ask all the comrades, activists and sympathizers of Komala to
continue their activities in gaining support for the people of
Kurdistan in their struggle to gain their just demands. People of
Kurdistan will be more politically aware as the struggle continues
and the next step will be even more successful. This is the duty of
us and that of all the political activists of the liberation
movement of Kurdistan.
Viva
the liberation movement of Kurdistan
Down to the religious dictatorship of Islamic
Republic of Iran
