Number 21 Bulletin of Komala Party:
Support Hunger Strike of
the Arrested activists in Kurdistan
Two human right activists who were arrested in
the recent unrests in Kurdistan, named Jalal Qawami and Saeed Saedee
are in hunger strike for more than a week now. Dr. Roya Toloee and
Madeh Ahmadi who were also arrested recently are still in prison and
under intense physical and psychological pressure.
Dozens of the arrested people are in Sepah-e
Pasdaran or Special Forces’ jails and being tortured routinely. Even
the whereabouts of some of them are not known.
The foreign ministry of Iran recently issued a
bulletin where it accused US of being the meddler in the recent
popular protests in Kurdistan. This claim, along with the brutal
treatment of the arrested people, shows that the regime has decided
to accuse people of Kurdistan and prisoners of being enticed by
foreign elements and this way isolate the democracy and freedom
movement in Kurdistan.
We ask all freedom loving people and Kurds in
particular to do whatever that they can to support the jailed Kurds
and especially those who in hunger strike.
