About the military assault of Iraqi government on the Ashraf Camp
Based on the news we have received this morning, as a result of
military assault of Iraqi government on Ashraf Camp, more than
thirty members of Mujahedeen Khalegh Organization have been killed
and hundreds injured so far. While the members of Mujahedeen Khalegh
are unarmed in this camp, but they have been attacked in the most
inhuman ways by Iraqi government and many have lost their lives as a
result.
The military assault of Iraqi government has been continued up to
this moment and they are planning to take over the camp.
We have no doubt this military assault has been planned by both
Iraqi government and Islamic government of Iran in advance.
We are strongly condemning violation of human tights in Ashraf Camp.
It is the basic right of the inhabitants of the camp to have safety
and security needed for any human being. We are requesting the
immediate halt of military incursion where the injured people can
have proper medical attention and stop the further human rights
violation there.
We are asking international community to condemn this military
assault of Iraqi government and engage in humanitarian efforts to
save the lives of inhabitants of the Ashraf Camp while intensifying
their diplomatic efforts to stop further military assault on the
camp.
