About the recent military activities in Iranian Kurdistan
As you all know, there have been some reports about several military
clashes in the cities of Iranian Kurdistan during the last two
weeks. The Islamic government of Iran has accused the hard-line
Islamic groups and foreign elements for engaging in such military
activities.
Komala Party sees the necessity of once more to clarify its policy
regarding this recent military clashes for the people of Kurdistan
while stress the continuation of its policy about the just struggle
of Kurdish people or military defending of Kurdistan movement in
general.
Komala Party has always believed that it is the natural right of
Kurdish people to engage in armed struggle in order to defend
themselves from the inhuman oppression and genocidal policies of
Islamic government in Iran. The Kurdish struggle has been a popular
liberation movement and it has been supported by all segments of
Kurdish society for all this period.
While the current government of Iran is facing a popular movement
where the whole system is under an immediate threat by upcoming
social and political uprising and Kurdish people are in forefront of
this popular struggle against Islamic government and day by day they
are playing a crucial role in this whole process, we believe it has
been the responsibility of all political parties in Kurdistan to
have role in spreading the political struggle of this popular
movement.
In light of these sensitive moments in our struggle, we believe it
is not in our best interest to engage in such military activities
where it will not serve the just struggle of our people. We should
be fully aware that at best situation, such activities will be
recognized as adventurous acts that will serve the policies of
Islamic government of Iran in Kurdistan for further militarization
of Kurdistan and having more excuses for further orders of
execution, prison and tortures. Therefore, we would like to remind
everyone that these activities are damaging the Kurdish liberation
struggle at the end.
