We inform the public that on the evening of Wednesday, February 18, 2026 (29 Rebandan, 1404), a Komala vehicle exploded in a suspicious incident on the road between Sulaymaniyah and Dukan.
With great sadness and sorrow, a Komala Peshmerga named “Said (Hersh) Ranjbar” lost his life, and another of our Peshmerga, “Aram Bahrami,” was injured. Fortunately, his health condition is currently stable.
On this occasion, we extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Comrade Hersh and the people of the Laylakh region, and we wish a speedy recovery for Comrade Aram Bahrami. The Sulaymaniyah Security Forces (Asayish) and Komala’s security teams are investigating the incident, and the public will be informed of further developments in future announcements.
